MatchPoint Scoring App basics

Updated 8 Oct 2026

The MatchPoint Scoring App replaces writing scores in the handbook. Here's how to get set up and what both captains need to do on match day.

Before match day

  1. Make sure you have a MatchPoint login. If you haven't set one up yet, go to matchpoint.kiwi and click SETUP MY MATCHPOINT ACCOUNT.
  2. Download the app:
  3. Check you have the latest version installed.

Rules for scoring a fixture

  • Both captains select their own team in the app. One captain can't do both teams.
  • Only the designated home team (the team on the left) enters scores. They can do it match by match or all at once at the end.
  • A fixture can't be finalised until both captains have selected their teams.
  • Once the home team submits all scores and finalises the fixture, the away team confirms the scorecard is correct.

Common questions

How do I add a substitute?

When managing your team, choose Substitute from MatchPoint and search by last name and club, or by NIN. The player appears in your team list with (sub) next to their name when selected.

I can't find a player when searching

They may not be in MatchPoint yet. Select SUBSTITUTE for now, and ask your club administrator to add them.

How do I score a super tie-break?

Enter the set as 1-0 to the winner, and put the super tie-break points in the tie-break score boxes.

How do I score a retired match?

Enter the score as it stood and turn off the Finalise toggle. Then tap the three dots next to that match and choose Mark as retirement. Watch the step-by-step video.

I don't agree with the confirmed score

Contact your local competition administrator. They'll follow their dispute resolution process.
